The public organization ‘MP’s Club Parliament’ is an unprofitable non-governmental association of members of Ukrainian parliament (Verkhovna Rada) of all convocations. The main goal of the Club is to create an effective discussion place for parliamentary and business elites of Ukraine. Club was founded on 1999^th and since that time is working in format of discussion panels and round tables, also on the international level.

Mission of the MP’s Club Parliament is to promote the achievement of mutual understanding between the Ukrainian legislative power, government authorities, and representatives of community and business. Also the Club works for strengthening inter-parliamentary relations on the principles of people’s democracy.

Aim of the Club – to intensify the influence of national elite on the decision-making process in country and to improve the legislative ground to accelerate the economic progress and the process of integration of Ukraine in European democratic community.

The Club meetings are not only a non-partisan lobbying of the initiatives of representatives of national elite, but also an instrument to strengthen the dialogue between Ukrainian authorities and MP’s with international organizations and parliaments of democratic countries. The activities of Club help to improve the image of Ukraine on international scene.

All the activities of the Club have the informational accompaniment by NARODNY DEPUTAT (Member of Parliament) monthly magazine. The materials of this journal (10 000 copies) are dedicated to main political and economic events in Ukraine and world in parliamentary dimension. In addition to subscription NARODNY DEPUTAT is distributed in target way – to central and local Ukrainian authorities, all parliamentarians and members of the Club, and to business elite representatives.

Strategic tasks:

·          Increase of transparency and efficiency of law-making process in Ukraine.

·          Strengthening of dialogue of the Verkhovna Rada with other branches of state power, as well as with business circles, public organizations and representatives of science and culture.

·          Working out of necessary amendments and changes into Ukrainian legislation to harmonize it with the norms of European law and the requirements of national economy.

·          Organization of round tables and cultural events to provide the better communication opportunities.

·          Assistance in establishment of side-to-side contacts and consultations between Ukrainian Club members and international elites.
